The iconic Marine Corps battle cry first appeared during the Korean War, when Reconnaissance Marines travelling by submarine adopted the “Aarugha” sound of the sub's horn as a motivational tool. This was quickly molded to the now familiar “Oorah” and has become one of many traditions specific to the Marine Corps.
The Oorah Blossom celebrates USMC traditions with many of the Corps' iconic symbols and is available with a 9" wire stem or a 1" pin back. Each Oorah Blossom uses the same fabric, but the design of each petal may vary some from the ones shown.
