The eleventh blossom in every 13-week bouquet represents the 54 hour final test known as The Crucible. Made from a retired desert MARPAT fatigue blouse, like what the recruits wear during this rite of passage, the Crucible Blossom honors every Marine recruit who has endured the hardship and challenge of this culminating event of bootcamp. They have trained well. They are ready. When they finish, they will have earned their Eagle, Globe and Anchor and the title of United States Marine.
In an effort to honor Marines who came before, I make this blossom using retired USMC uniforms. Please expect varying levels of fabric "saltiness" and seam lines in the petals.
Available on a 9" wire stem or with a pin back
